Toyota Sequoia

The Toyota Sequoia (Japanese: Toyota Sequoia) is a full-size SUV produced by Toyota Motor Corporation and derived from its Tundra pickup truck. Toyota Sequoia is the first vehicle from a Japanese marque in the popular mainstream full-sized Sports Utility Vehicle class in North America, competing with the Chevrolet Tahoe and the later Nissan Armada.

First Generation: The Tundra-based SUV was introduced in 2000 at the North American Auto Show as the Toyota Sequoia, with full manufacturing start in 2000 for the 2001 model year. At the time of Toyota Sequoia introduction, it was slightly longer than the contemporary Toyota Land Cruiser and larger than the Chevrolet Tahoe in most dimensions and similar in size to the Ford Expedition; Toyota Sequoia V8 engine was certified as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle. The 2005 Toyota Sequoia received a mild facelift. A new engine equipped with VVT-i, as well as a 5-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous 4-speed.

Second Generation: As per the original Sequoia, the new model is based on the new Tundra. The Toyota Tundra include a locking center differential on four-wheel-drive models and fully boxed frame, a rear independent suspension featuring double wishbones with coil springs for improved ride comfort and room was all the major differences. Toyota Sequoia 2008 comes in three trim lines: the SR5 and Limited, and new Platinum. The 2008 Sequoia interior features the same dash as the new Tundra. Standard features include power windows and doors, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, dual sun visors, and keyless entry. Toyota Sequoia seating arrangements are for seven or eight passengers, eight for SR5 and Limited models and seven for Platinum models.
