Peugeot Convertible

In 1934, Peugeot introduced the 402 BL Éclipse Décapotable, the first convertible with a retractable hardtop— an idea followed later by the Ford Skyliner in the 1950s and revived in the modern era by the Mitsubishi 3000GT Spyder in 1995. More recently, many manufacturers have offered retractable hardtops, including Peugeot itself with the 206-cc. The Peugeot 206 CC  was formally launched in September 2000 at the Paris Motor Show and was based on the Peugeot Two-oh-heart concept car, revealed two years before at the Geneva Motor Show. It is a coupé cabriolet featuring a powered fold-away roof based on the Georges Paulin system, first seen on the 1935 Peugeot 402 Eclipse coupe.

Peugeot 308 is a small family car produced since 2007. The 308 features a range of petrol and diesel engine options. A cabriolet with a retractable hardtop known as the 308 CC replaced the Peugeot 307 CC in the spring of 2009. The roof folds into the boot in 20 seconds, and at up to speeds of 7.5 mph (12.1 km/h). With the roof up the boot space capacity is 465 litres but this reduces to 266-litres with the roof down. The 306 was released in March 1993 as a 3- and 5-door hatchback, with saloon and cabriolet models being introduced a year later. All variants of the 306, with the exception of the GTI-6 and cabriolet models, were priced very competitively. The cabriolet and estate variants both remained on sale until 2002. The slow–selling saloon was axed from the United Kingdom market in 1999, but it was still available in the rest of Europe until 2002.
