Lexus Sports Cars

The Lexus is a luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota. In 2005, a hybrid version of the Lexus RX crossover launched and additional hybrid models later joined the division's lineup. The Lexus introduced its own F marque performance division in 2007 with the debut of the Lexus IS F sport sedan, followed by the Lexus LFA supercar in 2009. It includes the Lexus RC F Sport and Lexus GS F Sport and Lexus LS F Sport. The F1 project followed the Toyota Supra sports car and the premium Toyota Mark II models and developed the Lexus LS 400. Lexus launched its first sports coupe, the SC 400 in 1991, which shared the LS 400s V8 engine and rear-wheel drive design. It was followed by the second generation ES 300 sedan, which succeeded the ES 250.

The Lexus RC F is a high-performance version derived from the Lexus RC. It was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in 2014. It has given its name to a GT500 class competitor in the Super GT series in 2014.
